Bayside Oceanfront Resort serves as an extension of the McMillan Arts Centre gallery—a welcoming place where resort guests, diners and local visitors can encounter the artistic soul of Oceanside and Vancouver Island.
The partnership gives local artists a beautiful public stage for their stories and craft while transforming the resort into an evolving cultural experience.

The curatorial eye
Curated by Kelly Corbett
Resident curator Susan Schaefer shaped the program with years of vision, passion and volunteer dedication. Artist Kelly Corbett now carries that legacy forward, championing local art as a cornerstone of the Bayside guest experience.
Kelly brings the sensitivity of a painter, the precision of a photographer and a deep connection to Vancouver Island’s landscapes, wildlife and creative community.
