Sandi Offerein is a mixed-media painter whose colourful, whimsical work reflects her vision of how the world could be. Working on canvas, wood, rock, and just about any surface that catches her eye, she creates art meant to bring joy, spark curiosity, and lighten a heavy heart.
Raised in the Australian outback and now living on the rugged West Coast of Vancouver Island, Sandi draws inspiration from two dramatically different landscapes. Her years on the coast introduced her to orcas, whales, porpoises, and the rich marine life that continues to appear throughout her work.
Sandi’s paintings blend realism with whimsy, bold colour, pattern, and imagination. Her current work explores the meeting place between water and air—two connected worlds separated by a thin veil—with playful stories unfolding both above and beneath the surface.
For Sandi, creating is also deeply connected to her faith. Painting is a place of stillness, play, and connection with God.
Her philosophy is simple: paint what moves you, keep playing, and make the world a little more beautiful.
