I began painting approximately 8-9 years ago, shortly after retiring and moving to Nanoose Bay on Vancouver Island. Prior to that, I had resided in Prince George in Northern B.C.
I have always loved to create things and enjoy sewing and quilting, but find that painting brings me just as much joy. I am truly inspired by Canada’s beauty and feel blessed to live in such a wonderful part of the world. I love to paint seascapes and prairie scenes mostly, but also love painting birds and trees, and anything else that inspires me. Most of my paintings are whimsical and colorful and are created to hopefully elicit a smile or evoke of feeling of warmth and contentment.
I know that I have a lot to learn but also realize there will always be more to learn with each new painting, and I am looking forward to the journey.
