Class Title: Meet You At The Pub: Drawing and Watercolour
Class Date: Sat, Nov 21, 2026 at 10am
Instructor Name(s): Jim Sears
Class Description: Capture the charm of the iconic Rod and Gun Pub in this engaging drawing and watercolour class. Using 2-point perspective, you’ll transform a flat photo into a lively 3-dimensional artwork. Begin with a quick thumbnail sketch in pencil, then develop a detailed pen and ink drawing of the pub. If time allows, add a beautiful watercolour wash to bring your piece to life. Designed for artists working at different paces, this class offers a relaxed way to build confidence with linear perspective, pen and ink, and colour. Expect creativity, learning, and maybe even a surprise between sessions.
Instructor Bio: Jim Sears is a self-taught artist whose love of painting began early with oils and sketching. After years focused on work and family, he returned to art in retirement, refining his skills in pen and ink, watercolour wash, and coloured pencil. Inspired by coastal landscapes, travels abroad, and a forestry career spent in some of the province’s most scenic places, Jim brings a keen eye for natural beauty to his work.
