    • Class Title: The Art of Lino Cutting
Class Date: Sun, Nov 1, 2026 at 2pm

      Instructor Name(s): Margie Davidson

Class Description: Join Margie to try your hand at carving and printing with a lino block. Participants will have the opportunity to carve two small lino blocks on soft cut linoleum using a ""v"" shaped lino cutting blade. The blocks will then be used to print on paper with ink pads. Margie will share information about block printing as an art form, as well as some tips about using positive and negative space for lino block designs.

Instructor Bio: Margie Davidson is a quilt artist and surface designer. Being surrounded by nature on daily walks through the changing colours of the seasons provides inspiration for her textile art. Using natural dyes or textile paint for colour, and stitching for texture, her work reflects the natural world and her connection to it. Her art quilts have been exhibited nationally and internationally, and are held in private and public collections.
