Seating Overview
Parking
All parking areas in the Parksville Community Park are open to the public and may be utilized on a first-come first-served basis. Blue Rodeo patrons may access the public parking lots within the park; however, we anticipate these lots will fill up quickly. We encourage festival attendees to consider alternatives like parking off-site, bicycling or walking to the theatre. For those requiring accessible parking there are a limited number of designated accessible spaces available in the park. SPR Traffic Services will be on site to assist with orderly parking in the lots. Any vehicles parked on areas outside of designated parking lots may be towed. Closer to the event we will send a map of other parking lots located in downtown Parksville.
Other options will be announced closer to the concert date.
Personal Items
Bags, backpacks and picnic coolers are not allowed. Small purses are allowed but will be subject to search by security staff. Personal belongings are the responsibility of attendees. No outside food or beverage (unless otherwise specified or approved in advance for allergies or specific dietary requirements). Potable tap water will be available onsite, so empty water bottles are allowed. Anyone found with outside alcohol or other prohibited items will be evicted from the site and will not be issued a refund. Only non-breakable cups may be used for beverages. For safety reasons, glass containers are not permitted.
Concert Entry Gates
Gates will be open 1.5 hours before the opening band takes the stage. The Box Office will open before that so you can purchase tickets (if any availability remains) or pick up your wristbands from online orders.
Festival Wristband Entry
A wristband is required for entry to the concert venue (premium reserved seating will have Section, Row and Seat number printed on the band). If possible, attendees are encouraged to pick up their wristbands from the McMillan Arts Centre (133 McMillan Street, Parksville; box office open Tuesday through Sunday, 11 am to 3pm) prior to the day of the concert. This will allow for quicker entry into the venue. If you have paid for tickets but not picked up your wristbands at the McMillan Arts Centre beforehand, they may be picked up at the Box Office on site.
Seating
Premium Reserved Seating-Sections A through L: sections, rows and chair numbers will be clearly marked with ushers available to help locate seats.
V.I.P. Experience: will include upgraded seating, light snacks, private bar and washroom, cocktail tables, tented area for bar and food service.
VIP seating is an unassigned area designed to offer a flexible and comfortable experience, with a range of fixed seating options, as well as open mingling spaces for guests who prefer to stand or move about. While individual seat numbers are not assigned, the area is arranged to support a variety of seating preferences and social experiences. VIP guests also have access to a private bar and separate washroom facilities within the section for added convenience.
General Admission Seating: is located behind the premium reserved seating sections (see attached seating plan). Attendees will bring their own chairs or blankets and select where to sit based on availability. Please no high back lawn or lounge chairs. Please assist us in keeping your footprint small to maximize seating in this area as we expect a large crowd. Due to space limitations, there will not be a designated dance area at this concert.
Accessible seating is available in all sections and is designed to provide clear access routes from entrances and amenities. In the premium and VIP sections, select fixed chairs are removed to accommodate wheelchair spaces with adjacent companion seating, while in general admission, designated accessible viewing areas are provided with space for mobility devices and companions. Accessible seats can be purchased over the phone directly through the MAC box office via phone at 250-248-8185 or in person at the McMillan Arts Centre Box Office – this ensures individual accessibility needs are understood and are sold at the same price level as comparable non-accessible seating. One attendant ticket, priced at $25 plus fees, is permitted with each accessible ticket. Venue staff will be on site to assist guests from arrival to seating, to help manage companion seating, and ensure accessible areas remain available for those who require them, while respecting guest independence and providing assistance upon request.
