Instructor Bio: Carla Flegel is a Vancouver Island–based watercolor artist, author, and instructor with over 30 years of experience. Inspired by Vancouver Island and Mexico, her work combines visual storytelling, travel sketching, and a strong sense of place. Founder of My Sketchy Friends and ARTful Journeys, Carla teaches watercolor and journaling workshops, publishes watercolor technique books, and is a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and the International Watercolour Society
