      Mon Aug 10th- Friday August 14th, 2026 10am-3pm

      Ages 7-12 years old

      Location:  MAC Studio/Garden

Now in both garden and studio we are set for a super creative time. Our talented and patient instructor Kat Cearns will guide you through art projects, creativity boosters and games. Gain confidence and learn art skills and techniques while trying new mediums. As well as all the art there will be camp games, beach walks and popsicles.

Examples of art projects include: Comics, drawing, zines, portraits, acrylic painting, mosaics, paper mache, art boxes, rock painting, collage and more.

      Maximum number of participants: 12

      About the instructor:

Kat Cearns is a multidisciplinary artist based in Coombs. Her art career has a focus on whimsical illustrations featuring animals and nature inspired by her Vancouver Island home. Kat is currently working towards a BA of Visual Arts at VIU and loves every opportunity to learn a new art skill or to dig deeper to build on her existing skill set. Her love of making art of all kinds and learning new things is turning her eye towards teaching young people to embrace their creativity, too.
