    • May 24 - AM  - Intricate Dotillism with Jolene Hassard

Learn the techniques of dotillism, and the basics of making
consistently sized dots to create an image. We will cover pattern
layout, the techniques of dot making, and making patterns to
create floral images. The end result will be a 4”x4” canvas with a
simple to learn floral pattern created from dots, plus the know-how
      to continue forward!

      All materials supplied.

About the Instructor: Jolene Hassard is a visual artist from Nanoose Bay who paints with acrylics in the style of dotillism. Her subject matter – be it a coastline, an animal, a moment – is celebrated by creating an intricate and detailed background with a colourful design created from thousands of dots. This Mandala-like pattern contrasts and therefore highlights the starker silhouette of the subject itself. She also creates Mandala-style pen and ink drawings which she has re-created as murals
