    • Mar 15 AM – Urban Sketching in Perspective with Jim Sears

Create a pen and ink sketch, and bring a Qualicum street
scene to life utilizing linear and atmospheric perspective to
create depth and a 3D picture on a 2D paper.  The pen and
ink sketch can be completed with watercolour or watercolour
      pencil.

      All Materials provided

About the Instructor: Jim Sears grew up sketching and painting. Life commitments slowed the process, but retirement has allowed him time to focus on art. Jim is now exhibiting and holding workshops to share his techniques. He has exhibited in Port Alberni at Rollins Art Centre (The Grove) as well as the Old School House in Qualicum, and the McMillan Arts Centre. Jim works primarily in pen and ink and watercolour wash, and has added coloured pencils, incorporating all three mediums into one painting. Landscapes captured from European vacations along with the beauty of Canada are the main inspirations for his work.
