Canadian Jewellery artist Alasha Lantinga creates a line of jewellery influenced by nature and her travels through Asia and India. Her work is a fusion of organic & geometric; funky & classic; earthy & ethnic.
She uses metal clay, which is clay consisting of very tiny particles of bronze or copper mixed with an organic binder and water. When the clay is fired it burns away leaving solid metal. The finished pieces are tumbled, patinaed or left natural & polished. Natural gem stones are included in some designs.Chains are antiqued brass.
