11am-2pm Create Traditional Vinok Floral Headdresses
FREE hands-on workshop where participants will learn to make Traditional Floral Ukranian Headdresses known as Vinoks. You will learn the historical significance of these beautiful floral head pieces as you work to create your unique version of a Vinok. All materials will be provided & volunteers will be located at various stations within the auditorium to guide you through each phase of creating your very own colourful Vinok.

3pm-4pm Vesna Dancers, Traditional Ukrainian Dance
A traditional Ukrainian Dance performance is a feast for the senses with energetic music, vibrant costumes, and dances that tell powerful stories. Vena Dancers, Nanaimo’s Traditional Ukrainian Dance Troupe will be performing. We invite all of the participants who created their own beautiful Vinok Headdresses to wear them for the dance performance and join in the fun!
