Apple Technology workshops can be attended in-person or on Zoom.

About the Instructor:
Dan LaRocque has been an Apple computer and web professional since the early 90s, and Parksville’s premier Apple Certified Macintosh Technician since 2008. He offers repair, maintenance and training services for Apple iPad and Mac users, as well as social media expertise for businesses and individuals. 

Feb 17 –  3:30-5pm  Intro to Mac Level II

A follow-up to our Level I class, we’ll continue on and explore the Mail application and protocols, browsers and search engines, Calendars, Contacts and Photos applications.

    Mar 3 – 3:30-5pm iCloud for iPads and iPhones

    This workshop sets out to explain the basics of iCloud computing and how to put this advanced, but simple to use technology to work for you and your multiple devices. Learn to sync your contacts, your calendars, your music and your photos on all your iCloud capable devices.

      Mar 31 –  3:30-5pm  Intro to Mac Level I

      In this workshop we’ll explore the rudiments of the Finder and System Preferences to better understand and organize your files. Learn basic Mac and computer terminology, how to use the Sidebar and Desktop more effectively, Time Machine Backups, anti-virus and security options, best practices for maintenance and more. It’s recommended but not necessary that you bring your Mac laptop if possible.

        Apr 21 –  3:30-5pm  Intro to Mac Level II

        A follow-up to our Level I class, we’ll continue on and explore the Mail application and protocols, browsers and search engines, Calendars, Contacts and Photos applications.

          May 5 – 6:30-8pm  Using the Photos App

          A deeper dive into the Apple Photos application, including how to create albums and multiple libraries, how to edit photos, various media types, importing and exporting, and iCloud Photos.

          May 12  –  6:30-8pm  i-Phones and i-Pads Part 2

          A deeper look into your Apple mobile device’s apps and capabilities

          Please make sure to mark it in your calendar/datebook or give us a call if you can’t remember, and we’ll be happy to help.

          Please note that reminders will not be sent before class and credit will not be issued for no-shows.

          Cancellations and refunds:

          Registrations will close when the class is full, or on the Sunday before (eg. for the Dec 12 class, registrations will close Dec 5 at 3 pm).

          A class may be refunded up to the registration deadline; $10/class processing fee will be retained and the remainder refunded.  No refunds are possible after the one-week deadline.
