VISUAL STANZAS:  Art Inspired by Verse

SILVINA LANUSSE

October 1 – 27, 2024, 2024

Opening Reception:  Saturday, October 5, 2024   1-3pm

In “Visual Stanzas:  Art Inspired by Verse”, I delve into the intricate relationship between visual art and the evocative power of poetry.  This collection draws deeply from the essence of verse – the rhythm of language, the vivid imagery it paints and the emotions it stirs.  Each artwork is born from the lingering impressions that poetry leaves on my mind, transforming abstract thoughts and fleeting feelings into tangible visual forms.
Using mixed media, I weave together colours, textures and shapes to craft visual representations of the poetic echoes that inpsire me.    My process is one of exploration and experimentation, layering materials and techniques to capture the emotional depth and symbolic resonance of verse.  Every canvas in this collection is a stanza in its own right, a visual interpretation of the unseen emotions and ideas that words often invoke.
This exhibition is a celebration of how poetry shapes my artistic journey, highlighting the symbiotic relationship between written word and visual expression.  Through these works, I aim to create a space where viewers can engage with the silent poetry of the visual world, discovering their own connections and interpretations.  I hope that “Visual Stanzas’ invites you to experience the beauty of poetry through a new lens, inspiring a deeper appreciation for the art of both language and image.
