Register your Creative Kid for both AM and PM classes, and child minding is available during the lunch break (12-1). Cost is $10 cash; please provide a lunch and bottle of water.

Creative Kids Instructor: Megan Riera
Megan moved to Europe from Qualicum Beach in 1999, and recently returned to her hometown. Whilst living in the UK, she obtained a first class BA Hons degree in Design for Moving Image and has had a career spanning several creative disciplines; motion design, graphic design and calligraphy. Most recently Megan has been running children’s art workshops, which have introduced young people to many artistic techniques and artist.
What’s Creative Kids all About?
Our goal is to have fun through creative expression while learning some basic art elements, art principles and art history.
This summer we have 30 totally different classes to choose from; both new ones, and favourites PLUS: MAC Art Camp – a whole week to get creative and make some incredible art!

Tues July 30 AM – Blown Away
Have you ever made art with your breath? Using straws to push paint around we are going to make a cool nature scene.
Tues July 30 PM – Animal Mishmash
Is it a cat or a frog? A bull or a dog? We are mixing and matching animal parts to create a brand – new beast. Imagination gone wild!
Wed July 31 AM – String It On
By wrapping colourful yarn on a nail grid, an impressive artwork will emerge.
Wed July 31 PM – Cut Out Art
By cutting and gluing construction paper we will create a unique west coast scene.
Thu Aug 1 AM: Mosaic Madness
We are making a kid friendly mosaic with found objects, magazine clippings and imagination.
Thu Aug 1 PM – Painting Day
We’ll be busting out the paints and brushes and painting a still life masterpiece.
