New this summer – Kid Care!
Register your Creative Kid for both AM and PM classes, and child minding is available during the lunch break (12-1). Cost is $10 cash; please provide a lunch and bottle of water.
Creative Kids Instructor: Megan Riera
Megan moved to Europe from Qualicum Beach in 1999, and recently returned to her hometown. Whilst living in the UK, she obtained a first class BA Hons degree in Design for Moving Image and has had a career spanning several creative disciplines; motion design, graphic design and calligraphy. Most recently Megan has been running children’s art workshops, which have introduced young people to many artistic techniques and artist.

What’s Creative Kids all About?
Our goal is to have fun through creative expression while learning some basic art elements, art principles and art history.
This summer we have 30 totally different classes to choose from; both new ones, and favourites PLUS: MAC Art Camp – a whole week to get creative and make some incredible art!

Tues July 23 AM – All Hands In!
Finger painting taken to a new level! Using our hands we will create a garden masterpiece.
Tues July 23 PM – Stamp It Out!
We are making our own stamps out of vegetables and found objects. Stamp stamp art!
Wed July 24 AM – X Marks the Spot
We are making our own (mini) treasure chest. Let’s decorate the outside with paper craft, then add a special treasure inside.
Wed July 24 PM – Seashell Origami
We are making our own seashells by folding paper origami style.
Thu July 25 AM: Face It
Learn how to draw a face! We will learn where to place the eyes, nose, and mouth and how to make a face unique. Guaranteed to leave you smiling.
Thu July 25 PM – Lighthouse Create
Ships Ahoy! We are going to make our very own lighthouse artwork using pastels. We will work on composition and add nautical patterns and themes and learn how to blend oil pastels.
