Penelope Harber

Penelope is an artist living in Craig Bay. As a youth, she took art classes at the Ontario College of Art and was a member of the Oakville Art Society as well as the Guelph Potter’s Guild. She has always had a passion for clay and as a young girl she would pack a lunch, hop on her bike and ride to the Don River in Don Mills where she would dig up clay to take home and make little pots and ashtrays, drying them in the sun and painting them with house paint.  She has come a long way since then! Living in Craig Bay she is inspired by the beauty that surrounds her home, drawing inspiration from the river otters she can see playing and fishing in the pond behind her house as well as the beautiful white-barked birch trees.
