About Art Bites:
Art Bites is a fun way to try out all different kinds of art mediums without investing a lot of time and money. Our instructors are welcoming and encourage everyone to ‘just have’ fun creating art. Try something you’ve always wondered about, or take a class with a friend or family member just for fun! Our classes run from Sept-Dec in the fall and Jan-Jun in the spring. Intricate Dotillism with Jolene Hassard

Learn the techniques of pointillism, and the basics of making consistently sized dots to create an image. We will cover pattern layout, the techniques of dot making, and making patterns to create floral images. The end result will be a 4”x4” canvas with a simple to learn floral pattern created from dots, plus the know-how to continue forward!

Fabric Collage with Margie Davidson

Explore collage using fabrics to create abstract or realistic compositions. Three different fabric attachment techniques will be covered to create fabric collage compositions, and examples of both abstract and realistic compositions will be shared. You’ll finish class with a matted 5″ x 7″ fabric collage ready to frame.

Playful Portraits with Michelle Manke

This class is a fun, casual approach to drawing proportionally pleasing faces, then adding colour and embellishments to create unique portraits of real or imaginary people. Students will be able to draw several faces and create one canvas (watercolour or acrylic).
