Paper mache clay is not just for kids!  You can create some sophisticated and functional projects with a very cost efficient medium. It is easy to make, environmentally friendly and a great stepping stone to working with other air-dry mediums that are even more versatile.

This Feature Art Bites class is in two parts:

Sun Dec 4 – using papier mache clay, you’ll transform a recycled object into an ambient lantern for indoor use. The technique is a fun and easy way to repurpose objects and create functional and funky art.

Sun Dec 11 – you’ll paint your lantern and use any additional embellishments to create the specific theme style you wish (i.e. Christmas, winter, fantasy, Easter, etc.) You’ll go home with a beautiful, functional lantern.

About the Instructor: Brenda Milne is a long-time resident of the Vancouver Island inspired by the beauty of this incredible part of Canada. She discovered papier-mâché clay years ago and creates whimsical ‘critters’ that are sometimes decorative, sometimes functional, but always fun.
