In this interactive workshop you will learn about different styles artists use to paint; what are the factors which influence the way they paint?
We will explore our own “cultural palette”
Why do we paint?
Which experiences influence us?
How is our personality reflected in the way we encounter art?
This workshop will change the way you look at art, not only your own and that of others as well.
Dr. Evelin Kruger has worked in the field of education for over 25 years at various levels. She received her doctorate in Linguistics from the Ruhr University, Bochum, Germany, and more recently her Certificate in Intercultural Studies from the University of British Columbia in 2001.
Her special interest is the study of nurture and nature. What are the causes, which make us the person we are?
With years of experience in education, teaching in Germany, Finland and Canada, and her work as diversity coordinator at the University of Calgary and other organizations, she is intrigued by how our culture impacts the way we wee the world and how it is reflected in art.
Dr. Kruger is married and has three grown up children.
