 Here’s an opportunity to explore colour and fabric texture by creating a small landscape.  Emphasis is placed on the use of scale, overlapping, value and pattern texture to create depth within the landscape.  Participants will use fabric to collage a small landscape using the fused applique technique in the first session.

Two options will be available to participants who would like to attend the second session:

1.  to embellish with free-motion stitching by machine, or
2.  to create one or two additional postcard-sized landscapes

 Instructor – Margie Davidson

Margie Davidson is a quilt artist and surface designer in Qualicum Beach.  Her love of colour is joyfully expressed through the variety of techniques she uses to add colour to cloth.  Margie enjoys painting, sunprinting, and blockprinting as well as cooking up colour with natural dyes.  This coloured cloth is incorporated into her artwork, along with stitching by hand or by machine.
