About Art Bites:
Art Bites is a fun way to try out all different kinds of art mediums without investing a lot of time and money. Our instructors are welcoming and encourage everyone to ‘just have’ fun creating art. Try something you’ve always wondered about, or take a class with a friend or family member just for fun! Our classes run from Sept-Dec in the fall and Jan-Jun in the spring. Dec 3 PM Class – Needle Felt a Gnome with Darrell Giraldeau
– CLASS FULL – STAY TUNED FOR A SPRING NEEDLE FELTING CLASS COMING!
This Art Bites class will provide an introduction to needle felting. Students will have the opportunity to use wool and create a 3-dimensional personalized gnome.
About the Instructor: Darrell Giraldeau is a fibre artist working with wool and loves the textures that can be created using wet and needle felting techniques. She has an extensive background in teaching both adults and children.
Dec 10 – Black Paper Watercolours with Carol Ann Owers
Unlike regular white paper, black watercolour paper is a game changer, inspiring new ways to use bold, opaque and metallic watercolour for vivid and dramatic effects.
All materials provided.
About the Instructor: Carol Ann has two passions; painting and teaching art. Her career in commercial art led Carol Ann to develop and teach two art postgraduate programs for George Brown College in Toronto. She has taught groups and private classes in various art centres and was an art instructor on cruises. Carol Ann enjoys sharing her love of art and teaches Art Bites and Art Gems classes at the MAC.
