Around the world, March 21 is celebrated as World Storytelling Day. Storytellers everywhere are encouraged to tell stories based on a common theme in the same week. The theme for 2017 is Transformation. Since the performance date falls within the time range, Tales for the Telling is celebrating World Storytelling Day by inviting members of the Storytellers of Canada, the Victoria Storytelling Guild, the Mid-Island StoryTellers, the Around Town Tellers of Nanaimo, The Alberta League Encouraging Storytelling (TALES), and the Ottawa StoryTellers to bring their favourite stories of transformation.
